Elaine Frenett tells us a little about Studio 8 and her upcoming class
“Bonnie is a talented, colorful pastelist and both Thalia and Lindsey create unique, fascinating jewelry.  The newly acquired Art Center is a phenomena in itself and accomodates in all, us 16 Working Studio Artists upstairs, in addition to Resident Artists who show their work on the first floor. Come see what we are up to and meet all the artists too.  This will be a dynamic community hub for art and who knows what else in the Southern Oregon area. Check out the website for more information”
ATTENTION: Those Interested in Watercolor Journal Classes
I’m putting together an Beginning Watercolor Journal Class for the end of October.  It will run for the period of October 17th thru October 25th, with 3 class meetings of 3 hours.  This will be an introduction to sketching and watercolor basics, with a bit of journal basics and ideas.  With 3 hr. class meetings on Saturday, October 17th, 9am-12pm, second meeting on Thursday, October 22nd, 6-9pm and final meeting on Sunday, October 25th, 1-4pm.  This would give you plenty of personal time to apply class info and prepare you for the more advanced Intermediate Watercolor Journal Class to be taught in February.  Because of size constraints in Studio 8, where the class will be held, there will be a 6 person limit to the class.  Class fee will be $120 and you your be bringing your own favorite materials or as suggested on materials list.  You may call me with your questions at 899-0606.
